Simon Tolbert, Esq., CPL, is the managing attorney of Mountain States Energy Attorneys & Advisors, PLLC d/b/a Tolbert Law Office, PLLC, a Denver‑based practice he founded in 2014.  He focuses on oil and gas title examination, estate planning and administration, and real property transactions, drawing on more than a decade of combined legal and oil and gas industry experience working as a petroleum landman.  Mr. Tolbert holds a J.D. from the University of Kansas and a B.A. in Political Science from Rhodes College.  He is licensed to practice law in Colorado, North Dakota, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.  In addition to his legal practice, he has authored articles for industry publications and frequently presents on multi‑state oil, gas, and estate issues, including presentations at industry organizations and bar associations.  Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Tolbert spent over five years working as an independent petroleum landman in Texas and Colorado.  Outside of his professional work, Mr. Tolbert enjoys time with his family and currently practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu alongside his two sons.
